Ireland's Kellie Harrington is chasing back-to-back gold medals at 60kg in Paris, but can she fend off rival Beatriz Ferreira for a second time?

Odds Now run you through they major contenders in a hotly-anticipated lightweight division in the French capital.

Kellie Harrington (6/4)

Irish lightweight Kellie Harrington's glittering amateur career has so far culminated with an Olympic gold medal in Tokyo three years ago.

The now 34-year-old ousted Brazil's Beatriz Ferreira in the final to claim top spot on the podium in her first ever Games.

The medal now sits alongside the gold she claimed at the 2018 World Championships, having previously won silver in the competition two years earlier.

Harrington has also added gold medals from the 2022 European Championships and 2023 European Games since her victory in Tokyo.

The run has left her as strong favourite to win consecutive Olympic golds in Paris this summer.

Beatriz Ferreira (15/8)

Harrington may well have to overcome the aforementioned Ferreira once again en route to a second Olympic gold medal.

The Brazilian comes in as a firm second favourite to come out in top spot after an equally impressive amateur career.

Ferreria is already a two-time world champion in the vested code and won her second Pan American Games gold medal in Santiago, Chile last year.

The 31-year-old has also made in-roads on the professional side of the sport. With an impressive record of 5-0(2KOs), Ferreira recently claimed the IBF lightweight title with a win against Yanina Lescano.

Her attention has turned back to Olympic exploits now though as she looks to go one better than the silver medal she achieved in Tokyo three years ago.

Estelle Mossely (10/1)

Rio 2016 gold medalist Estelle Mossely is also vying for top spot in her second appearance at an Olympic Games.

The French lightweight took a break from amateur boxing to focus on her professional career after winning gold in Rio, but returned to the vested code early last year.

An early exit at the 2023 World Championships was followed by a European Games semi-final defeat to Harrington in June, leaving Mossely a firm outsider for gold this summer.
