The Shergar Cup takez place at Ascot this weekend, and bookmakers have installed Great Britain and Ireland as the 11/8 favourites to come out on top.
Hosted annually every August, the illustrious team event is named in honour of the 1981 Epsom Derby winner Shergar, and will see Great Britain and Ireland, Europe, Asia, and the Rest of the World compete against each other in a series of races on Saturday 9th August.
Established UK bookmaker William Hill is pricing Great Britain and Ireland as the 11/8 favourites to win the meeting. Europe are listed as the second favourite at 15/8, with the Rest of the World at 5/1, and Asia available as the 8/1 outsiders.
One of the more competitive markets surrounding the 2025 Shergar Cup is the Silver Saddle. This award is given to the jockey who accumulates the most points. Hollie Doyle is the current favourite with bookies at 3/1.
