The 2025 York Ebor Festival is set to enjoy record TV coverage around the world with over 40 global networks covering the highly anticipated August meeting.
It has been announced that this widespread television coverage will draw an audience from approximately 140 countries around the world, making it the most-watched Ebor Festival in history.
As a whole, TV coverage of UK and Irish horseracing continues to grow. It was revealed that the 2025 Grand National was being televised in over 170 territories earlier this year.
This year's Ebor Festival will take place across four days between August 20th - 23rd at York Racecourse. Day One's feature race is the Juddmonte International, considered one of the greatest annual contests on the planet and won last year by Ryan Moore aboard City of Troy.
The focus of Day Two, Ladies' Day, is the Pertemps Network Yorkshire Oaks. Then on Day Three, punters will be looking to crack the Coolmore Wootton Bassett Nunthorpe Stakes as the big race.
On the final day, the meeting's feature race takes centre stage in the form of the Sky Bet Ebor Handicap.
The York Ebor is the highlight race of the meeting, and punters are already scrambling to consider their ante-post betting options.
Willie Mullins-trained Hipop De Loire is the current 3/1 favourite in the ante-post betting market, having gone close in the race 12 months ago.
Victory in a decent-looking Maiden Hurdle at Galway last month with Paul Townend in the saddle has helped cement his spot at the top of the market.
Mullins has high hopes for the horse. Speaking to the Racing Post, he said, "His Ebor run was a hell of a run last year. Hopefully we can go back this year, get a bit more daylight and keep out of trouble. We'll be heading back there now."
Another runner from the Mullins stable, Ethical Diamond, is joint second in the ante-post market at 8/1, with the five-year-old having prevailed in the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes at Royal Ascot back in June.
John and Thady Gosden will also be hoping they have a live a contender in French Master.
The joint-second favourite in the ante-post market at 8/1 won the Copper Horse Stakes at Royal Ascot earlier in the summer, but did finish a disappointing fifth in the Goodwood Cup three weeks ago.
Thady Gosden spoke to Go Racing about the York Ebor Festival, saying: "It’s a wonderful place, a wonderful track, and we always look forward to it enormously.”
Other horses involved at the top of the ante-post betting include London City at 8/1, Aeronautic at 14/1, Shadow Dance at 14/1, French Duke at 16/1, Kihavah at 16/1 and Nurburgring at 16/1.
