Arsenal vs Bournemouth: Betting Odds & Prediction
Arsenal vs Bournemouth: Betting Odds & Prediction

Title-chasing Arsenal host mid-table Bournemouth on Saturday as the hosts look to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League.

The Gunners will be buoyed by a thrilling 3-2 away win at rivals Tottenham Hotspur last weekend. Kick-off is set for 12:30pm UK time at the Emirates Stadium.

Recent Form

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta's men have recorded three consecutive league victories since their damaging 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa earlier this month. The run has left them a point clear of second-placed Manchester City, though the latter do have a game in hand.

Arsenal boast the joint second-best home record in the Premier League, taking 41 points from a possible 51 so far. 13 of their 17 home outings have ended in victory, with only two of these ending in defeat.

Arteta's side have excelled at both ends of the pitch; an average of 2.53 scored compares to just 0.88 conceded, with six of their home fixtures ending in a clean sheet. Arsenal have failed to score on just two occasions at the Emirates so far.

Seven of these matches have seen them net three or more goals as they prepare to face a Bournemouth side with little to play for between now and the end of the season.

Bournemouth

Andoni Iraola's side have exceeded expectations this term, finding themselves tenth in the league with three matches remaining. Bournemouth come into the match on the back of consecutive victories over Wolves and Brighton, with both games ending with clean sheets for the Cherries.

Only seven sides boast better away records than Bournemouth, who have averaged 1.24 across 17 away outings. They have, however, lost two of their last five on the road and, given their safety is now secured for another season, questions rightly arise as to whether a drop-in performance is inevitable as the season's end draws nearer.

Their away fixtures have seen plenty of goalscoring action; Bournemouth have averaged 1.53 goals scored and exactly two conceded, and their away outings have averaged a total of 3.53 goals so far. Iraola's men have failed to score in just one away outing, and have four away clean sheets to their name.

Prediction

Both sides' respective records suggest plenty of goalscoring action can be expected in this one. Arsenal know a victory is a must if they are to lift the Premier League title this season, and have already scored three or more goals in 14 matches home and away this season.

Coupled with Bournemouth's own impressive attacking exploits, OddsNow anticipate a high-scoring encounter at the Emirates.
