Another stacked weekend of EFL football kicks off at Ewood Park on Friday night with a tasty Lancashire derby between Blackburn and Preston.

Our football tipster Adam Drury has put together a 16/1 bet builder for the game which is built around the performances of a central defender from each camp.

Selection #1 - Under 2.5 goals

A derby match like this one is always likelier to be niggly than free-flowing, while these two teams are never likely to produce too many goals anyway.

Blackburn have hit a wall recently, losing three straight matches and scoring just one goal in a miserable run that has hugely dented their play-off push.

John Eustace's side have also failed to find the net in three of their last four matches at Ewood Park.

Preston, meanwhile, have scored more than once in just three of their 14 away matches this term — while the reverse fixture between these sides in September finished 0-0.

Selection #2 - Danny Batth to have 1+ shot

Blackburn's centre-backs Danny Batth and Dominic Hyam are both reliable types when it comes to their attacking threat, so choosing which of them to include in this wager something of a toss-up.

We have taken Batth at the slightly bigger price (5/4 as a single) and do so with some confidence, given the veteran defender has managed an effort on goal in eight of his last 10 matches.

The 34-year-old has also had a shot in all of his last seven games at Ewood Park — a solid enough case to pick him over his defensive partner.

Selection #3 - Jordan Storey to be carded

The market is expecting at least five cards in this game, so we should take the opportunity to get creative and add a player outside of the market leaders to receive a booking.

Storey — an ever-present in the North End backline since August — has been carded six times this season, three of which have come in his last four Championship matches.

The centre-back has committed four fouls in his last two games but despite that is priced at 3/1 for a yellow here, which looks overly generous in what should be a feisty affair.
