European football is very much still on the cards for both Brighton and Bournemouth ahead of their clash on Tuesday evening.

Our tipster Brad Walker (@brad_TWalker) has taken a closer look at the match-up and picked out two fancies ahead of kick-off at the Amex.

Brighton vs Bournemouth analysis - Cherries superiority on the road

Hosts Brighton have had a tumultuous first season under Fabian Hurzeler but are will within distance of a spot in Europe next season.

The Seagulls have endured a mixed bag of form since the turn of the year, picking up points against the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea while also suffering a heavy 7-0 away loss to Nottingham Forest at the start of this month.

Nevertheless, a 4-0 win at bottom of the table Southampton saw them record a second successive league victory without conceding a goal. Brighton's 3-0 home win over the aforementioned Chelsea two weeks ago was also their first at the Amex in six league outings.

In fact, both of these sides are accustomed to punching above their weight. Visiting Bournemouth have been one of the surprise packages of the season, sitting in sixth position prior to kick-off on Tuesday evening.

A shock 1-0 home loss to Wolves at the weekend may have somewhat tempered expectations, but there can still be no denying that the Cherries are a formidable foe for any side in the division.

The defeat was only their second in 14 league matches. Bournemouth also travel to Brighton unbeaten in their last seven on the road.

Selection #1 - Bournemouth to win - 9/4

The Cherries haven't tasted defeat on their travels since a 3-2 loss at Brentford in November.

Five of their seven subsequent away outings have ended in a Bournemouth victory ahead of a meeting with a Brighton side which has underperformed at home in recent months.

Prior to their win over Chelsea earlier this month, the Seagulls had failed to win any of their previous five matches at the Amex.

Selection #2 - Over 1.5+ Bournemouth goals - 13/10

Bournemouth haven't exactly excelled defensively in away fixtures, having kept only a single clean sheet on their travels.

Nevertheless, Iraola's men more than made up for it at the top end of the pitch, where they've netted an average of 2.08 goals per away match so far.

Nine of their 13 away games have seen at least two Bournemouth goals, an ominous read for a Brighton defence which has kept a measly three clean sheets at home.
