Denmark vs Portugal: 6/5 and 10/3 betting tips

Denmark kick off their Nations League quarter-final tie against Portugal on Thursday, where they hope to take a positive result into next week's second leg.

Denmark vs Portugal analysis - Danes' form far from Great

To say Denmark failed to inspire at last summer's Euros would be a pretty fair statement. Then led by Kasper Hjulmand, the Danish played out three draws in the groups before getting knocked out by Germany in the round-of-sixteen.

Hjulmand has since left the dugout, which has been shrowded in uncertainty. Both Morten Wieghorst and Lars Knudsen have held the title of Denmark manager since, before again making way for Brian Riemer.

The latter has overseen their two previous outings, but the turmoil off the pitch looks to have impacted results. Denmark got off to a positive start in their Nations League campaign, winning their first two matches, but then failed to win any of their following four.

The results were still enough to see them progress to the quarter-finals, but form will need to improve ahead of their meeting with an impressive Portugal side.

Roberto Martinez' men went unbeaten across their six group games, four of which ended in a Portugal win. The visitors are also unbeaten in eight of their previous nine matches in all competitions.

Best bets for Denmark vs Portugal on Thursday, March 20, 2025

Selection #1 - Portugal to win - 6/5

With all of the above in mind, getting the Portugal win at an odds-against price is too good to turn down.

The Portuguese scored goals at a canter in the group, totalling 13 across the six matches while only conceding five.

Compare this with Denmark, who have kept only one clean sheet in their final four matches, and it's hard to see the hosts getting anything here.

Portugal have also won each of their last four meetings.

Selection #2 - Bruno Fernandes to score anytime - 10/3

The midfielder has been a rare bright spark for Manchester United this season.

Fernandes has already registered 16 goals and 15 assists at club level and has found the back of the net in three of his last four Premier League appearances.

His good form has carried over at international level, too.

With two goals and two assists in his last five for Portugal, and Denmark's inability to shut opposition teams out, Fernandes will fancy his chances of bagging again in this one.
