Back this 55/1 Championship accumulator on Wednesday

Midweek Championship action continues on Wednesday evening with five more matches completing the slate.

Our tipster Adam Drury (@Adam_Drury1) picks out two away teams to side with, a goalscorer and a player to be carded.

Selection #1 - Preston draw no bet v Cardiff – 5/4

Preston have drawn 10 of their 17 league matches since Paul Heckingbottom took charge in August.

While North End will be frustrated by those failures to turn one point into three, there is a feeling that Heckingbottom has them moving in a positive direction.

Cardiff initially picked up after appointing Omer Riza as caretaker boss when Erol Bulut was sacked in September but that form has deserted them during a winless run of five games.

It took the club's hierarchy over two months to decide to hand Riza the full-time gig last week, creating a sense of unease around the appointment.

Selection #2 - Ryan Porteous (Watford) to be carded v Hull – 13/5

No player has been booked more often in the Championship than Ryan Porteous this season.

The Scot has picked up seven yellows in 1027 minutes for Watford, a rate of one every one-and-a-half games, and ranks third for fouls per game of every centre-back to play more than 500 minutes in the division.

Porteous also led the league for yellows last season, claiming joint-top spot with Sam Morsy on 14, and has received one in each of his last three away starts in 2024-25.

An opposition defender has been booked in all of Hull's last six games, three of them centre-backs.

Selection #3 - Sheffield United draw no bet v Millwall – 4/5

The opportunity to back Sheffield United with the risk of a draw taken out is too good to pass up.

The Blades came into this midweek slate as leaders and are an extremely tough nut to crack, only losing away to Leeds and Middlesbrough in 19 league matches so far this season.

Since those defeats in October, they have beaten Blackburn and Bristol City on the road, drawn 2-2 at Coventry despite playing half the game with 10 men, and drawn 2-2 again at West Brom on Sunday.

Millwall are without a win in four Championship outings and with news that this will be Neil Harris’ last match emerging on Tuesday afternoon, it’s hard to see anything changing too dramatically.

Selection #4 - Rayan Kolli (QPR) to score v Oxford – 3/1

This might seem a speculative punt considering Rayan Kolli hasn't started a match since the opening day of the season but there is method behind the madness.

The 19-year-old was introduced as a 13th-minute substitute in place of the injured Zan Celar against Norwich on Saturday and scored twice as QPR ran out 3-0 winners over Norwich.

Impressing with his movement and eye for goal, Kolli will surely lead the line again here for a team that is finally finding its way after a poor start to the season.

Oxford concede an average of two goals per game on the road and look generous opposition for the Algerian.
