Everton take on Brighton in their first game at their new home on Sunday afternoon in a 2 pm BST kick-off.
Our tipster, Adam Drury, picks out 31/20 and 4/1 bets for the game.
Everton were poor in their opener at Leeds, but this game should present a very different dynamic, considering it is their first at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Toffees will surely be intent on making a fast start at their new home, with Jack Grealish perhaps in from the start.
David Moyes' side scored in eight of their last 10 home matches of last season, too, while visitors Brighton have conceded in 12 of their last 13 league games.
Meanwhile, Fabian Hurzeler's side drew 1-1 with Fulham last week in a game they should have won, and are good value for a goal themselves, having scored in 14 of their last 15 in the top flight.
So, to make up the NAP, I'm going to add an attacker from each side to have at least one shot.
Iliman Ndiaye was very quiet at Leeds on Monday, but I still fancy him to have an eye-catching season.
The Senegalese forward scored twice in the farewell to Goodison game against Southampton in May and is a busy attacking player who is likely to be on penalty duty.
For Brighton, Yankuba Minteh looks a good bet for a shot. He had one in his 68 minutes on the pitch against Fulham last week, having – just like Ndiaye – averaged more than one per game last season.
Cutting in on his left foot from the right-hand side, he is a dangerous prospect, and I expect him to have at least one attempt on Merseyside.
For the long shot, I'll take Brighton's Mats Wieffer to be carded.
The Dutchman is a natural central midfielder playing at right-back for Hurzeler's side and does not shy away from duels, winning five tackles and committing a foul against Fulham last week.
Across the course of last season, he made 3.5 tackles per game, so he is certainly up for the battle.
Likely up against Grealish down that side, however, tackles could easily turn into fouls.
Grealish was fouled by Leeds right-back Jayden Bogle once during his 19 minutes on the pitch on Monday and has consistently drawn fouls during his career.
Prior to last season, when he was rarely involved, Grealish was fouled more than once per game in four straight campaigns, including over twice per game in 2020/21 with Aston Villa and 2022/23 with Manchester City – the seasons in which he played most often.
A return to regular action should see those numbers pick up again, so I will chance Wieffer to pick up a yellow at generous 4/1.
1pt - BTTS, Yankuba Minteh and Iliman Ndiaye to take 1+ shot – 31/20 (Unibet)
0.5pt - Mats Wieffer to be carded – 4/1 (Betway)
