Freiburg vs Bayern: How to Watch, Betting Odds & Prediction

SC Freiburg host Bayern Munich at the Europa-Park Stadion this Friday. The away side are in desperate need of three points to stand any chance of becoming Bundesliga champions for a thirteenth consecutive season.

Bayern returned to winning ways last time out with a 1-0 win over RB Leipzig.

How to Watch Freiburg vs Bayern in the UK:

Viewers can watch the game live on the Sky Sports App with coverage set to begin at 7:20pm on Friday evening. Kick-off is set for 7:30pm.

Recent Form:

Freiburg go into the game without a win in their previous five matches in all competitions but are still within contention of finishing in a European spot in the Bundesliga. Breisgau-Brasilianer currently sit ninth on 29 points, one point ahead of Heidenheim (10th) and five off Eintracht Frankfurt in sixth.

After their recent draw to RC Lens, Christian Streich's side have successfully qualified to the round of 16 in the Europa League after two very late goals saw them victorious 3-2 in the first leg. They now face West Ham United in the next round.

The Stade Europa-Park has become a fortress this season, with the home team only losing twice in the Bundesliga so far.

Bayern are back to winning ways after a 91st minute goal from Harry Kane saw them take all three points against RB Leipzig last weekend. Their three previous outings had seen them lose to Bayer Leverkusen, Vfl Bochum and Lazio respectively.

The chances of Thomas Tuchel's side retaining the Bundesliga title for a twelfth consecutive season are looking slim. Bayern sit eight points behind first-placed Leverkusen after 23 games, with Tuchel set to depart the club at the end of the season.

Kane has had a season nothing short of spectacular with the Englishman already scoring 27 goals in 23 games and looking set to beat Robert Lewandowski’s single best season mark of 41 in his first season at the club.

Team News:

Freiburg are without the services of three centre backs in Kenneth Schmidt, Max Rosenfelder and Phillip Lienhart, who are all out through injury. Ghanianan forward Daniel-Kofi Kyereh still remains on the side-lines after his summer ACL injury.

However, Matthias Ginter returned to the squad earlier this week, which will provide a huge defensive boost for the home side.

Bayern are still without Kingsley Coman who faces a lengthy spell out.Serge Gnabryhas returned to training but won't feature, whileLeroy Sane is also not expected to start as a precaution for the upcoming Champions League second leg against LazioMatthijs De Ligt is unavailable through suspension, while the right back duo of Sacha Boey and Noussair Mazraoui are out with hamstring injuries.

Betting Odds:

Freiburg have failed to beat Bayern at home in the last nine years so it should be no surprise to see the away side as heavy favourites. SkyBet have Bayern at 1/2 with an implied probability of 66.67%.

A home win would surely spell an end to Bayern's hopes of retaining the Bundesliga title. Bet365 have Freiburg at 13/2 with an implied probability of 13.33%.

Prediction:

OddsNow expect there to be a lot of goals up for grabs for Bayern and this, combined with Freiburg’s recent form, should lead to a comfortable win for the away side.

OddsNow's Pick: SC Freiburg 0-3 Bayern Munich with Kane to score anytime (13.75/1 @ QuinnBet)
