Fulham vs West Ham: Betting tips and analysis
Fulham vs West Ham: Betting tips and analysis

Craven Cottage may not be hosting the most eye-catching London derby of the weekend but, given Fulham's performance in this fixture last season, many will be waiting to see if West Ham are able to improve their fortunes this time around.

Odds Now's Brad Walker talks you through the match at West London to find punters the best value ahead of the 3pm kick-off.

Tale of the tape

Fulham

Marco Silva's side have made a decent start to the new season, having taken four points from their first three matches, but will be eager to pickup their second win of the campaign this weekend.

Last season's result in this fixture bodes well for their prospects after Fulham secured a league double over their fellow Londoners, including an emphatic 5-0 victory at Craven Cottage in December.

The win would add to the three points they picked up with a 2-1 victory over Leicester City on matchday two, in their only Premier League appearance on home turf in 2024-25.

Silva will be grateful to emerge from the international break with a fully fit squad to choose from ahead of the weekend.

West Ham

Another defeat for West Ham would already see new manager Julien Lopetegui under pressure at the London Stadium. The Hammers' 3-1 home defeat to Manchester City last time out meant they have lost two of their opening three matches, either side of a 2-0 away victory against Crystal Palace.

That win at Selhurst Park was only the third in their last 10 away outings, though. In fact, 10 of West Ham's 14 league losses occurred on the road - a figure which will need to drastically improve if they are to secure a place in Europe for next season.

Striker Niclas Fullkrug could feature after nursing a knock to his lower leg, while left-back Aaron Cresswell is ruled out with a thigh injury.

Fulham vs West Ham: Betting tips and predictions

We've already noted Fulham's domination in this fixture last season, but one statistic in particular stood out when I was looking for a betting angle at Craven Cottage.

West Ham might have shipped seven goals without scoring any of their own in their two meetings but, remarkably, the Hammers came out on top in the corners column.

They left West London with six to their name compared to Fulham's three in the 5-0 loss there last December. West Ham also had eight during their 2-0 loss to the Cottagers five months later at the London Stadium.

With Fulham having averaged 6.6 corners conceded so far in the Premier League, backing the Hammers to have over five at an odds-against 7/4 looks a real banker.

That's about as much positivity as I can offer you, West Ham fans. The rest is up to Jarrod Bowen and co.
