Back this 13/2 Liverpool vs Newcastle Carabao Cup final treble

English giants Liverpool and Newcastle collide in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday and what better way to mark the occasion with a tidy treble?

Our tipster Brad Walker (@brad_TWalker) has cast his eye over the match-up ahead of kick-off at Wembley and picked out a 13/2 bet-builder.

Brad Walker's Liverpool vs Newcastle Carabao Cup final selections

Selection #1 - Alexander Isak to have over 0.5+ shots on target

There were initially some concerns among the Newcastle camp that Isak wouldn't be fit for Sunday after he missed his side's visit to Anfield earlier this month.

Thankfully for the Magpies, Isak started versus West Ham on Monday and is poised to lead the line in what will be a huge boost for Eddie Howe's men this weekend.

The Swede has been in superb form once again this season, netting 22 goals across 32 appearances in all competitions.

Isak has also scored twice in the Carabao Cup so far, including the opener in Newcastle's 2-0 win over Arsenal in the semi-final first leg.

He has been a constant threat in the competition, recording at least one shot on target in four of the five games he's featured in.

Isak has also registered three goals in five games against Liverpool and should be backed to be heavily involved once again.

Selection #2 - Over 9.5+ corners

Both sides have seen their fair share of set-piece action this term after averaging over 10 corners in their Premier League outings.

Liverpool have seen an average of 10.34 in total, compared to Newcastle's slightly higher 10.86.

And while there were only six in their recent meeting at Anfield, the 3-3 draw these two played out in November was much more corner-heavy.

11 were awarded across the 90 minutes at St James' Park - a tally I expect them to replicate in their meeting in the capital on Sunday.

Both enjoy success down the flanks through wide forwards and marauding full-backs, an approach which should breed another bag load of set-pieces on the wide Wembley turf.

Selection #3 - Joelinton to be shown a card

The Brazilian midfielder miss three league games through injury recently but returned in his side's 1-0 win over West Ham on Monday.

He certainly made his presence known at the London Stadium, giving away a grand total of five fouls after making three tackles.

Somehow, Joelinton escaped without receiving another caution, which would have been his tenth of the campaign.

In fact, only Will Hughes and Sasa Lukic (both on 10) have been shown more cards than the Newcastle destroyer this term.
