Manchester United play Chelsea in a 5:30 pm BST kick-off at Old Trafford on Saturday in a Premier League clash where both teams will be desperate to pick up all three points.
After a heavy defeat at the hands of Manchester City, Manchester United will be eager to bounce back as they return to Old Trafford. Standing in their way are Chelsea, who are also looking to respond after their European setback against Bayern Munich.

Poor results and performances are stacking up at Manchester United. The Manchester derby was a drubbing, with Erling Haaland and Phil Foden putting the Red Devils to the sword 3-0 at the Etihad. Many thought Ruben Amorim might not survive that defeat, but he brings his side to Old Trafford to face Chelsea.
The days of Old Trafford being a fortress are long gone. Under Amorim, United have lost seven times at home, regularly gifting opponents multiple chances. Their wins there have come against the likes of Ipswich and Southampton last season, while even the Burnley victory relied on a 97th-minute penalty.
Chelsea, for their part, were the better side in the opening 10–15 minutes of their 3-1 loss to Bayern Munich. They’ve had a steady start in the league, with solid wins over Fulham and West Ham after an opening 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.
Most recently, they let a 2-1 lead slip to draw 2-2 with Brentford in stoppage time. Away from home, Chelsea look strong. They rank top for away shots and shots on target, and Enzo Maresca’s side will head to Old Trafford believing they can take all three points.
This fixture has produced plenty of draws, with six of the last ten meetings ending level, including a run of five in a row. More recently, Chelsea have had the edge, winning twice and drawing once in the last three. Their most recent league clash came in May, when Chelsea claimed a 1-0 victory.
I think we’ll see both teams scoring in this one. Manchester United, for all their issues, have at least been finding the net at home, while Chelsea had to play European football away in Germany on Wednesday.
Despite the quick turnaround from Wednesday to Saturday, I still think the price on Chelsea is worth taking. Their ability to create chances, rack up shots, and test the keeper away from home doesn’t bode well for a United side that continues to struggle defensively.
I’ll take the 6/4 on Chelsea to win, but I’m also adding a bet builder: Cole Palmer to have a shot on target, with both Marc Cucurella and Moisés Caicedo registering attempts. Both Cucurella and Caicedo have been getting efforts off this season, with a couple already on target.
