Back-to-back defeats to fellow strugglers Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town threatened to plunge Millwall further into a relegation scrap earlier this month. However, Neil Harris' men have since responded with three wins on the bounce, ensuring their Championship status is mathematically secure as we head into the final two matchdays of the season.

The Lions can now rest easy knowing the pressure's off for their final two fixtures, but will surely want to end their final home game of the campaign on a high. Their recent home form has been superb; they've not lost at The Den since a 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in February, going unbeaten in the five matches which have followed.

Scoring goals has remained a problem for Harris' side, though. They've averaged just 0.95 per home fixture, failing to score in 32% of these matches. Fortunately for them, they face a Plymouth side who have made habit of conceding on the road.

Millwall have been more secure defensively, shipping 1.32 goals at home, and though only 32% of these games have ended in a clean sheet, Millwall have managed to keep three in their last four home and away.

Plymouth Argyle

Unlike the home side, every points counts for Plymouth who remain in serious danger of dropping down to League One next season unless they find points from their remaining two matches. They looked to have turned a corner after going three unbeaten earlier this month, picking up two wins during that time.

However, a 3-0 drubbing at fellow battlers Stoke City last time out has left them in dire need of results once again if they are to avoid the drop.

Their away form this season does little to suggest they will pickup anything here; a dismal average of just 0.73 points per game leaves only two sides with worst records on the road. While goals have been aplenty at home, where they've averaged 1.82, Plymouth have struggled finding the net on their travels with a lowly average of just 0.82 so far.

Coupled with a worrying 1.55 conceded in away fixtures, it's little wonder the Pilgrims find themselves in this position with two matches remaining.

Prediction

There's always a danger of a drop-off in performance when a team has little to play for between now and the end of the season, but Millwall look to be riding the crest of a wave after three wins on the bounce. Plymouth, meanwhile, were dealt another blow in their recent game at Stoke after they looked to be gaining momentum, and their awful away records offers little suggestion of them leaving with anything this weekend.
