Premier League final day: Goal-fests aplenty on the cards

The final day of the Premier League season is upon us, with 10 matches all kicking off at the same time at 4pm on Sunday afternoon.

Goals are always on the cards as teams prepare for their holidays and Adam Drury (@Adam_Drury1) has put an over 4.5 Lucky 15 selection together to give you an interest in Gameweek 38.

Premier League final day betting tips – Sunday May 25, 2025

Over 4.5 goals in Ipswich v West Ham – 3/1

Over 4.5 goals has landed in three of Ipswich’s last seven home league games, featuring 6-0, 4-1 and 4-2 defeats.

Kieran McKenna’s side have also been beaten 4-0 by Arsenal on that run, so are vulnerable to shipping more goals here.

There is little reason for the Tractor Boys not to give this game a good go, with relegation long confirmed but the mood at Portman Road still relatively upbeat.

Six of West Ham’s last seven games have seen both teams score, including a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth and 3-2 defeat at Brighton.

Over 4.5 goals in Manchester United v Aston Villa

The mood at Old Trafford will be at an all-time low for the visit of Aston Villa this weekend – and the visitors will fancy taking advantage.

Playing for a place in the Champions League, Villa will be in no mood to take pity on their beleaguered hosts and can continue form that has seen them score three goals in four of their last eight away games.

United are obligated to try and attack this game, which could see them score one or two but is even more likely to open up gaps for Unai Emery’s side to attack.

This has all the makings of a high-scoring away win.

Over 4.5 goals in Southampton v Arsenal – 11/4

While Arsenal’s lack of goals has let them down this season, they have still been capable of cutting loose away from home at times this season.

Mikel Arteta’s side have won 5-1 at Sporting, 5-2 at West Ham, 5-1 at Crystal Palace, 7-1 at PSV and 4-0 at Ipswich this term, and will fancy their chances of bowing out for the season with a big score here.

Southampton have conceded at least three goals in 10 of their 18 Premier League home matches this season and if that record is extended here then this bet goes close.

Over 4.5 goals in Wolves v Brentford

Three of Brentford’s last five matches have seen this bet win. A 4-2 win over Brighton, 4-3 beating of Manchester United and 3-2 defeat to Fulham.

They were, admittedly, all home games but Thomas Frank’s side love to attack and know they must win this game to stand any chance of qualifying for Europe next season.

The Bees have scored two or more goals in five of their last nine away games, including 5-0 and 4-0 victories, and also have Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa both sitting one goal short of 20 for the season.

Two of Wolves’ last six have seen this bet win, including Tuesday’s 4-2 defeat at Crystal Palace in which they were picked apart quite easily.

The hosts have scored at least twice in half of their last 14 home matches and the end-of-season vibes could see this one escalate.
