PSG vs Le Havre: Betting Odds & Prediction

Paris Saint-Germain can clinch the Ligue 1 title with a win over relegation-threatened Le Havre on Saturday evening.

A 4-1 away victory at Lorient moved PSG within touching distance of their twelfth Ligue 1 championship on Wednesday. Le Havre, meanwhile, have failed to score a goal in their last two league outings.

Kick-off is set for 8pm UK time at Parc des Princes.

Recent Form

PSG

The champions-elect come into the game having scored 12 goals across their last three matches in all competitions. Given Le Havre have kept just three clean sheets in Ligue 1 this season, the Parisians' attack will be eager to further boost their attacking statistics on Saturday.

Despite boasting the second-best home record in Ligue 1, three of PSG's last five home outings have peculiarly ended in a draw. Nevertheless, PSG reign as the division's highest scorers with 73 goals so far, averaging 2.53 in home fixtures. They've failed to score in just one home match so far, and have scored three or more in an impressive eight outings at Parc des Princes.

While they haven't fared as well defensively on home turf, PSG have still conceded an average of only 1.07 in front of their home fans so far. Only four of their home outings have ended in a clean sheet, though.

Le Havre

Luka Elsner's side find themselves occupying the relegation play-off place heading into the game at the league leaders. Having failed to record a win in their last five outings home and away, it remains difficult to see how they leave the French capital with anything to their name on Saturday evening. Even more worryingly, Le Havre haven't won on the road in Ligue 1 since a 2-1 victory at Toulouse in November.

A dismal 0.87 goals scored in away fixtures is bad enough, but when combined with 1.47 conceded and just three clean sheets on the road, their poor standing in Ligue 1 begins to make sense. Seven of their away outings have seen them concede at least two goals.

Prediction

PSG predictably enter the evening firm favourites (4/11) and will surely claim another Ligue 1 title this weekend. Their goalscoring exploits, combined with a leaky Le Havre defence, should see the Parisians do so in style.

OddsNow's Pick: Over 2.5+ home goals scored (13/10 @ BetUK)
