Serie A Winner 2024/25: Betting Odds
Serie A Winner 2024/25: Betting Odds

Serie A leaders Napoli secured a big three points away at title rivals Atalanta on Saturday, but will Antonio Conte's side ultimately finish the season on top?

Odds Now's Brad Walker (@brad_TWalker) takes a closer look at the current landscape to run you through the key market leaders in the Italian top-flight race.

Serie A winners - market leaders

Just seven points separate leaders Napoli from third-placed Atalanta, with current champions Inter Milan currently sandwiched between them.

Let's dive into each side's form so far this season and evaluate their title prospects.

Inter Milan (8/11)

Current champions Inter remain odds-on favourites to lift the Scudetto trophy for a second consecutive season.

Led by former Italy striker Simone Inzaghi, the 20-time winners currently trail leaders Napoli by three points but also have an extra game to play.

Victory would see them move ahead of their Naples counterparts on goal difference ahead of a potentially crucial meeting between the pair at the beginning of March.

Inter started the season slow by their own standards, taking only eight points from the first 15 available, but have since romped to a 15-match unbeaten run.

The champions remain the most balanced side in the division, currently leading the scoring charts with 51 goals, while also boasting the third-best defensive record.

Crucially, Inter also boast the always vital Championship-winning experience, having won the Serie A last season.

Napoli (9/4)

Antonio Conte's men currently boast a three-point lead at the Serie A summit, having won 16 of their opening 21 games.

In fact, Napoli are currently enjoying a six-match winning streak in Italy, including a huge 3-2 victory away at fellow title challengers Atalanta last weekend.

No side boasts a better defensive record than Conte's side, who have conceded just 14 goals in Serie A so far.

That equates to an impressive average of 0.67 per game.

With 12 clean sheets picked up already, the question remains over whether Napoli can maintain their current form and hold off reigning champions Inter, who remain hot on their heels in second.

Only six players remain from their Scudetto-winning squad in 2022-23, but they do boast a manager in Conte who has tread this path before.

The 55-year-old has already won Serie A on four occasions as a manager - three with Juventus between 2011-2014, before adding a fourth with Inter in 2021.

Atalanta (11/1)

The job done by Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini has rightly earned him a wealth of praise.

He steered the club to Europa League glory last season and has overseen a promising side for the majority of this campaign, though form has certainly tailed off in recent weeks.

Atalanta recorded 11 straight wins between October and December but have now failed to win any of their last four.

The latest saw them come up short in a vital 3-2 defeat at home to title rivals Napoli, leaving them seven points adrift of Conte and co.

Odds Now's Serie A winner prediction

Napoli have shown no signs of slowing down in recent weeks and, coupled with Conte's title-winning experience, are certainly worth a stab at 9/4.

However, the most sensible pick remains with current champions Inter.

Inzaghi's crop are incredibly well-balanced and stand as one of the standout sides across the continent.

They also know what it takes to win the Italian top-flight, having done so last season.

Ultimately, there's more than enough juice in backing a repeat at a fair 8/11.
