Sheffield United vs Nottingham Forest: Betting Odds & Prediction

Relegation strugglers Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest meet at Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon.

A loss for the blades will see them relegated to the Championship, while Forest look to put distance between themselves and 18th-placed Luton Town.

Kick-off is set for 3pm UK time.

Recent Form

Sheffield United

The hosts' torrid season is almost over and looks certain to end in their relegation to the Championship. United are rock bottom, eight points adroft pf 19th-placed Burnley and ten of their opponents at the weekend in 17th. Another loss on Saturday will confirm their relegation to the second tier.

The 0.59 points averaged at Bramall Lane is, unsurprisingly, the worst home record in the division. Their 51 conceded is also the Premier League's worst, while only Burnley have scored less home goals than United's 18.

Just one of their home fixtures have ended in a clean sheet, while six have seen them fail to score.

Nottingham Forest

Forest head to the Steel City in desperate need of points if they are to enjoy another season in the English top-flight. Currently sitting one point above the relegation zone, Forest could find themselves in the bottom three at kick-off depending on Luton's result against Everton on Friday evening.

Points are therefore vital for the away side, who come into the game without an away win in their last seven attempts. They've also not kept a clean sheet on the road since the beginning of October.

Though the average of only one goal scored per away fixture isn't great, Forest are facing a leaky United defence who have kept just one clean sheet, home and away, all season.

Prediction

Forest have hardly convinced lately, though their points deduction has hardly helped, but should still have too much for one of the worst defensive sides the Premier League has ever seen.
