Back this 4/1 Championship double on Wednesday
Back this 4/1 Championship double on Wednesday

The Championship action resumes on Tuesday evening with two fixtures set to light up our screens.

Odds Now's Brad Walker (@brad_TWalker) has combed over both to put up a tidy 4/1 double.

Odds Now's Sky Bet Championship betting selections

Selection #1 - Cardiff City to beat Watford

Cardiff's struggles have been well-documented this season, but the Bluebirds have seen an improvement in form recently.

Omer Riza's side are now unbeaten in four in all competitions following a shock 1-0 victory at Sheffield United in the FA Cup last week.

They welcome a promotion-chasing Watford side who are in the midst of a barren run of form.

The Hornets have lost five of their last six, including their last four on the spin in all competitions.

Watford have also picked up just two wins on the road this term, while eight of their 10 defeats have came on their travels.

Only five sides have worse away records than Tom Cleverley's side, who haven't won away from home since the start of November.

Ultimately, these are two sides who look to be going in opposite directions, making the 13/10 odds for a Cardiff win very appealing indeed.

Selection #2 - Plymouth Argyle to beat Oxford

New Plymouth boss Miron Muslic is set for his first match in charge after replacing former manager Wayne Rooney, who was sacked on December 31st.

Remarkably, Argyle are unbeaten in three since the former England striker's exit and even managed to upset Premier League side Brentford in the FA Cup on Saturday.

And while they still find themselves rock bottom of the Championship, their home form leaves plenty of reason for optimism.

In fact, all four of their league wins have came at Home Park, where they've been on the losing side on just two occasions so far.

They host an Oxford United side who are also riding the wave of a recent resurgence.

Gary Rowett's men are now unbeaten in four league games heading into this one and picked up a 2-0 home victory over Plymouth as recently as December 29th.

Then again, their away form makes for a stark read, with Plymouth being one of only two sides who have fared worse on their travels.

Oxford have just one away win to their name, averaging a measly 0.75 goals scored and an alarming 1.92 conceded in the process.

Given Plymouth's scoring record at home, where they've averaged an impressive 1.91 goals and failed to score only once, it's hard to make a case for an away win here.
