Bournemouth vs Fulham betting tips: 4/5 and 5/2 fancies for Monday night

Bournemouth and Fulham meet on Monday evening in a must-win clash for both sides if they are to continue their respective pushes for continental qualification.

Matt Hill (@Matt_Hill93) enjoyed a fine weekend on the football front including a 62/1 TREBLE and is back on the hunt for more winners ahead of tonight’s Premier League action.

Bournemouth vs Fulham analysis

It’s been sad to see the way Bournemouth’s promising season has fizzled out from a neutral perspective.

The Cherries are undoubtedly one of the most exciting teams to watch in England’s top tier when on form, and the top six looked well within their grasp until a recent slump, which has seen Andoni Iraola’s men lose five of their last eight in all competitions – the only success in that period being an FA Cup penalty shootout win over Wolves.

Now rated a 50/1 chance for a top-six finish, their best hope of a European tour now hangs on finishing seventh, which will earn a Conference League berth thanks to Newcastle winning the EFL Cup and looking set for a top-six spot themselves.

However, that will require results to turn instantly and one of the sides hoping to snatch that seventh spot is indeed tonight’s opponents, Fulham.

The Cottagers arrive on the South Coast in much better form than their hosts, having won six of their last 10 top-flight clashes and another victory tonight will keep them within three points of sixth-placed Chelsea and seventh-placed Aston Villa, who both have continental campaigns both still providing a welcome distraction.

Bournemouth’s superior goal difference means three points for them tonight will see them leapfrog Fulham into eighth spot with six games remaining.

A draw doesn’t do much good for either side, so it’s fair to assume we will get a winner this evening.

Bournemouth vs Fulham betting tips

Looking at the markets, I’m keen to centre my wagers around home striker Evanilson, who has remained in rude health despite his side’s struggles in recent weeks.

The Brazilian centre forward, who arrived for a club-record fee of £40million last summer, took a little bit of time to adjust to the rigours of English football but now looks right at home in the Premier League.

As well as his excellent all-round play, the 25-year-old is proving a really reliable source for efforts on goal. His last four outings have seen him take three shots against Tottenham, Ipswich and West Ham and four against Brentford. So, in a must-win game for his side, the 4/5 about him getting off over 2.5 shots this evening looks a really solid wager with Ladbrokes.

He’s not just been shooting for the sake of it, either. The forward has six goals in as many games across all competitions, including an FA Cup strike in the loss to Manchester City and a brace in a 2-2 draw with the Hammers last time out.

Therefore, for the slightly more speculative among us, taking 5/2 with bet365 about him scoring anytime and taking over 2.5 shots also must have a live chance.

Whether or not Bournemouth will have enough to see off a stubborn Fulham side is up for debate – but we can hang our hat on Evanlison producing the goods.

Matt Hill’s best bets for Bournemouth vs Fulham

2pts - Evanilson to take over 2.5 shots - 4/5 (Ladbrokes)

1pt - Evanlison to score anytime and take over 2.5 shots - 5/2 (Bet365)
