Champions League accumulator betting tips for Wednesday October 22nd 2025

Wednesday evening offers up another nine Champions League matches for punters to get stuck into.

Football tipster Matt Hill thinks there are a handful of favourites with very solid credentials and is chancing a solid-looking win multiple across four games.

Champions League betting tips – Wednesday October 22nd 2025

Galatasaray vs Bodo Glimt (5.45pm) - Galatasaray to win - 3/5 (Sporting Index)

This early kick-off could well come down to home advantage here, with Galatasaray having overturned Liverpool last time out in continental competition.

Plucky Norwegian outfit Bodo Glimt are no mugs. Last year’s Europa League semi-finalists were unlucky not to beat Tottenham on Matchday 2 and are prolific goalscorers.

However, their opening-day trip to Sparta Prague saw them live a charmed life, going 2-0 down before snatching a fortunate draw against supposedly weak opponents.

Gala have shown their strength on their own patch time and again, so with the firepower of Victor Osimhen leading the line, they should have too much for their visitors here.

Atalanta vs Slavia Prague (8pm) - Atalanta to win - 4/9 (William Hill)

I’ve already mentioned Slavia Plague’s plucky point against Bodo Glimt, achieved on home turf on Matchday 1 – but their 3-0 loss last time out away to Inter Milan probably gives a better example of what to expect this evening.

The Czech outfit mustered only two shots against the Nerazzurri and had to soak up 21 attempts on their own goal in what was as one-sided a contest as you’re likely to see at this level.

Unless boss Jindrich Trpisovsky has stumbled upon an entirely new gameplan ahead of this one, it’s fair to assume that Atalanta – despite not packing the firepower of their Italian counterparts – can also expect to dominate proceedings.

Draws have been a frustrating theme for La Dea domestically so far this term but they are Serie A’s only undefeated side and should prove too strong for Slavia here.

Chelsea vs Ajax (8pm) - Chelsea -1.5 handicap - 7/10 (Various)

Not much juice in the match price here (1/4 best) but it would be rude not to include Chelsea in some shape or form against an Ajax side who are really struggling currently.

Boss Johnny Heitinga (yes, him) is feeling the heat after just one win in six games across all competitions, with a 2-0 home loss to AZ Alkmaar at the weekend earning him a dreaded vote of confidence from the club’s hierarchy.

Chelsea meanwhile enter this fixture in good spirits having made it three straight wins in all competitions when brushing aside Nottingham Forest 3-0 on Saturday, following up defeats of Benfica and Liverpool respectively.

Backing the Blues with a -1.5 handicap (i.e. to win by two or more goals) looks rock solid at 7/10.

Bayern Munich vs Club Brugge - Bayern Munich to win and over 3.5 match goals - 10/11 (various)

Bayern Munich are making serene progress through their 2025-26 campaign, having won every game they’ve played across four different competitions.

After opening up their Champions League tilt with a convincing 3-1 home win over Chelsea, the subsequent 5-1 thrashing of Cypriot side Pafos offered a timely reminder of the ruthless streak the Germans also possess against smaller sides.

It would be harsh to dub Belgian outfit Club Brugge as minnows, given they smashed Rangers 9-1 over two legs to qualify for this season’s premier club competition and then thumped Monaco 4-1 on Matchday 1.

But their recent 2-1 loss away to Atalanta showcased their level and while they are a decent bet for a goal, it feels like a heavy defeat could be on the cards in Munich.
