Manchester City vs Manchester United: How to Watch, Betting Odds & Prediction

Title-chasing Manchester Cityhost local rivalsManchester United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they look to close in on table-topping Liverpool.

United meanwhile look to lay down a marker after a surprise home defeat to Fulham last weekend.

How to Watch Manchester City vs Manchester United in the UK:

Viewers can watch the game live on Sky Sports Main Event with coverage set to begin at 3pm. Kick-off is set at an earlier time of 3:30pm.

Recent Form:

City currently sit in 2nd place heading into the match and are one point behind league leaders Liverpool. Pep Guardiola’s serial champions have won four of the last five Premier League fixtures, the only blip being a 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea in their previous outing at Etihad Stadium. Erling Haaland also bagged five goals against Luton in the FA Cup midweek, four of which were assisted by Kevin De Bruyne.

United have been in decent form themselves with four wins in the last five Premier league encounters, although their last league outing was a 2-1 home defeat to Fulham, their first since December 30th. With Rasmus Hojlund out injured, the Red Devils struggle to create chances and finish the ones they do create.

Erik Ten Hag's side did however oust Nottingham Forest 1-0 in the FA Cup midweek to secure their place in the quarter-finals.

Team News:

For the home side, centre-back Josko Gvardiol is set to miss out due to an ankle problem, with the Croatian expected back in the next week. Jack Grealish has also been ruled out with a groin injury.

United left-back Tyrell Malacia is ruled out for another few weeks with a groin problem, withAaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire not expected back until mid-March. Centre-back Lisandro Martinez (knee) and left-back Luke Shaw (out for the season) also unavailable in the Red Devils defence.

Midfielder Mason Mount also continues to be unavailable with a long-term lower leg injury, while forwards Anthony Martial and Rasmus Hojlund are also unavailable for the derby but should return to training next week.

Betting Odds:

City predictably enter the Manchester Derby as heavy favourites. 10BET have the home side at 2/7 with an implied probability of a whopping 77.78% win likelihood.

United look to put a huge dent in their rivals' title charge but come in at 10/1 to score the upset with Coral, carrying an implied probability of 9.09%.

The draw enters at 28/5 with vBet, with an implied probability of 15.15%.
