Manchester United vs Brighton Betting Tips | Premier League Match Preview

Manchester United play Brighton at Old Trafford in a 5:30 pm BST kick-off on Saturday evening in an intriguing Premier League clash.

The home side are looking rejuvenated after an impressive 2-1 win away to reigning champions and rivals Liverpool last weekend. The visiting team will be looking to extend their unbeaten run of five matches in all competitions.

Odds Now's football tipster Terry Foord shares his thoughts ahead of the big match and picks out his best tips.

Manchester United vs Brighton – Stats and Analysis

Manchester United have now won their last three matches at Old Trafford since that one–nil defeat to Arsenal. Four wins from their last six have lifted the Red Devils back into the top half of the Premier League, and Ruben Amorim will be keen to keep that momentum going as they push towards Champions League qualification.

The Portuguese head coach will also be feeling a little less under pressure now he's no longer the favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave their post this season.

It does feel like Manchester United are finally heading in the right direction. Those three home wins mark their best run of form at Old Trafford since early 2023. The current system relies heavily on Bryan Mbuemo and Bruno Fernandes, who, between them, have four goals and two assists this season.

Brighton also arrive in good form. Fabian Hürzeler’s side battled to a hard–fought 2-1 victory over Newcastle last weekend, with Danny Welbeck scoring both goals. That was their third win of the campaign, and they’re now unbeaten in four — drawing with Spurs and Wolves and picking up an impressive 3-1 win over Chelsea along the way.

Brighton’s strong spell has been helped massively by the sharp finishing of Welbeck, who now has four goals in eight matches. His expected goals average (xG) sits at 0.42 per game, while Yankuba Minteh and Stefanos Tzimas have both looked lively and dangerous for the Seagulls in support.

Head-to-Head

Brighton have an excellent record against Manchester United, particularly at Old Trafford. They’ve won their last three visits in a row and have taken six of the last seven meetings overall between the two sides.

Both teams have scored in four of the previous six clashes, while over 2.5 goals has landed in seven of the last ten — a strong trend that suggests goals are likely again this weekend.

Manchester United vs Brighton betting analysis

This looks like a wide-open contest, with both sides likely to fancy their chances. Brighton’s record against Manchester United is outstanding — few teams can match their recent dominance in this fixture.

United have seen over 2.5 goals in five of their last six matches, while the same total has landed in six of the previous seven meetings between these sides. Everything points towards another high-scoring game, with chances at both ends.

Brighton also look a touch of value here. The head-to-head record shows they’ve found a way to unsettle United, and with players like Danny Welbeck, Georginio Rutter, and Kaoru Mitoma still around, they have enough quality to cause problems. Mitoma remains an injury doubt, but Yankuba Minteh has filled that role well — and at 5/2, Brighton are worth a small stake.

For those building a bet, adding shots on target from the in-form attacking players alongside Brighton to receive at least two cards looks strong. The Seagulls average 2.75 bookings per game this season and have picked up four across their last two matches.
