Now, let's get into the good stuff!
MH: I really like the 21/10 available on Coventry to win and both teams to score when they host Watford. The Hornets have a feel-good factor around them after reappointing popular ex-boss Javi Gracia and got a great win over West Brom in midweek, which makes me think they will be competitive here. But the Sky Blues are a juggernaut at the moment and should have too much firepower for their visitors.
AD: Millwall draw no bet at home to Leicester at a shade of odds-on, 20/21 with Boyle Sports and 10/11 elsewhere. There's no way Alex Neil's side should be underdogs here, for my money. They've won their last three matches and only been beaten once in their last seven in the Championship, also sitting above the Foxes on major performance metrics. The visitors have won one of their last seven games.
GS: Oxford win to nil at Sheffield Wednesday, 18/5 with BetVictor. Gary Rowett's teams at this level concede no goals or one in 67% of their games, based on 11 years of history, and Wednesday fans are boycotting Hillsborough for home games in protest against Chansiri. It's no surprise they've only taken one of their six points on familiar soil, scoring just once in the Steel City.
FMP: Bayern Munich -2 Asian handicap vs Gladbach. They are full of confidence and goals at the moment and will likely pile more misery on Germany's bottom side here.
MH: I couldn't be having Barnet at odds-on or even money away to Barrow. I backed the Bees ante-post for a top seven finish and while they may well end up there, they have been susceptible to the odd flat performance this term and they make a long journey north to a Bluebirds team unbeaten in five under Andy Whing. It reeks of a draw to me!
AD: I don't fancy Walsall at odds-on away at Cheltenham. The Saddlers are three games without a win in all competitions, and their hosts are revitalised under new boss Steve Cotterill, only losing an EFL Trophy game in their last four.
GS: Ipswich, at 84/100. I don't think a team outside the top half should be odds-on against a side above them in the table, at this stage of the season. If anything, I'd be looking at West Brom at 18/5.
FMP: I’d leave Walsall alone at odds on away at Cheltenham, who seem to be thoroughly enjoying Steve Cotterill's return. Plus, of course, never back the early KO!
MH: I can see goals when Brentford host Liverpool. Keith Andrews is proving a few people wrong with his impressive start as Bees boss and Liverpool's defence has been anything but water-tight in the last few weeks. The Reds might have to go toe-to-toe to win this one and I like the 6/4 and 7/2 on over 3.5 and 4.5 goals respectively.
AD: Bolton v Cardiff looks a good pick at the top of League One. Four of Bolton's last five have seen over 2.5, while Cardiff have had a 3-1, 4-3 and 2-1 in their last five. Both teams like to attack, and a win here could lay a marker at the top of League One.
GS: Swindon against Colchester. The hosts have a multitude of attacking threats, and the visitors will cause problems on the counter with Micah Mbick.
FMP: Bayern vs Gladbach aside, I could see Crawley vs Bristol Rovers really opening up with both sides desperately chasing a bit of form, 17/20 for over 2.5 goals there appeals.
MH: I like to carve out creative angles on this one usually but this weekend it might pay to keep things simple. Regan Linney is absolutely flying for my side Carlisle in the National League and the 5/6 about him netting at Yeovil again this weekend looks rock solid. Double it with the goal machine Erling Haaland for Manchester City at Aston Villa at the same price and you've got a 12/5 shot with serious legs in it.
AD: I fancy Jack Diamond of Stockport at Port Vale on Monday night. Diamond has taken the sixth-most shots in League One but only scored two goals, so the 7/2 on that streak to end appeals with Sky Bet.
GS: After Paddy Madden scored a hat-trick against Swindon last weekend, Micah Mbick is 200/1 to match that feat. Town's influential centre-back, Ryan Tafazolli, whose return coincided with successive clean sheets with a side that struggled defensively before he joined, and capitulated defensively after he was dismissed at the Crown, is suspended.
FMP: There are a few I like this week! Mason Burstow 13/10 for Bolton against Cardiff in what should be an entertaining game, 3/1 for PSV's Ismael Saibari vs Feyenoord after he really caught my eye in the thrashing of Napoli this week – and how can we ignore 10/11 on the most in-form striker on the planet, Erling Haaland at Villa Park?
MH: As stated on this week's EFL Betting Show, I'm going to go for a 12.7/1 treble on Coventry to win and BTTS vs Watford, Peterborough to beat Blackpool and Barrow double chance at Barnet. Check the show out below!
AD: I'm taking a draw no bet treble in the Championship. Portsmouth (against Stoke), QPR (at Derby) and Millwall (home to Leicester. That comes out at 13/2 with Sky Bet.
GS: Let's live a little and go for a 202/1 treble with Bet365! Oxford to win to nil at Sheffield Wednesday (18/5), Wycombe to beat Huddersfield (23/20) and Micah Mbick to score two or more goals (20/1). If this wins, you won't see me next week as I'll be retiring on a high.
FMP: I’ll go for a BTTS treble of Crawley-Bristol Rovers, Augsburg-RB Leipzig and Volendam-Heracles at around 19/5. Not a huge price, but it feels solid enough.
