Sheffield Wednesday vs Leeds United: How to Watch, Betting Odds & Prediction

Sheffield Wednesday host Leeds Unitedon Friday night in the oldest Yorkshire derby,in which the match posesimplications for both ends of the Sky Bet Championship table.

How to Watch Sheffield Wednesday vs Leeds in the UK

UK Viewers can watchthe game live on Sky Sports Main Event or Sky Sports Football with coverage set to start from 7pm. Kick-off is set for 8pm at Hillsborough Stadium.

Recent Form

Despite sitting in the relegation zone in the league table, Wednesday are in fine form. Danny Röhl’s side won 1-0 last time out on Tuesday night against Plymouth Argyle to make it a maximum of twelve points from their last four games, with their last defeat coming at the hands of league leaders Leicester City.

Leeds’ fine form since the festive period lands them third in the table, just two points behind Ipswich Town and the automatic promotion places. Daniel Farke’s men won 1-0 last time out against a struggling Stoke City who went down to ten men. However, their form away from home this season is not as strong as it is at Elland Road, with Leeds failing to take all three points from ten-men Huddersfield in their last away game.

Team News

Wednesday will be unable to select Josh Windass (muscle injury), Juan Delgado (hip injury) and Kristian Pedersen (leg injury) who are all expected to return later in March. Callum Paterson (knee injury) underwent surgery in February and will not return for selection until at least April.

Managing minutes will no doubt be on Farke’s mind, with this game being the fourth his side will have played in a fortnight and their last match coming on Tuesday night. This game is expected to be too soon to see any involvement for Pascal Struijk (groin) and Stuart Dallas (broken hip). Jaidon Anthony is a doubt after missing the game against Stoke City due to personal reasons, whilst Jamie Shackleton (concussion) is expected to return to the travelling squad.
