The new English Football League season is beginning to take shape – and the EFL Betting Show is back for another weekend of Championship, League One and League Two betting action.

Matt Hill and Felix Morson-Pate are once again in the hosting chairs, working their way through Saturday’s coupon to identify where the value might lie across the three divisions.

Each weekend, Matt and Felix put forward their three strongest selections – a NAP, Next Best and Longshot – alongside plenty of analysis, debate and discussion on the latest developments around the EFL.

There are six more bets on the table this week, ranging from odds-on favourites to a 10/1 longshot.

2026/27 EFL Betting Show – Saturday September 5th tips

Matt heads to the Championship for his strongest fancy of the weekend, backing Burnley to beat Charlton at 10/11 with Ladbrokes. He explains on this week's show why the Clarets appeal at close to even money and makes them his 2pt NAP.

Felix's best bet comes from League One, where he's siding with Huddersfield to beat Notts County at 3/4 with 10Bet. The Terriers get his vote as he looks to add to his season tally.

Matt combines the result and goals markets for his next best, taking Barnsley to beat Stevenage and under 3.5 goals at 39/20 with 10Bet. He believes the combination offers an attractive way into the League One encounter.

Felix is also looking to League One for his second selection, backing Plymouth draw no bet against Doncaster at 21/20 with Unibet. The market provides some insurance should the points be shared, with Felix explaining in the show why he is keen to keep the Pilgrims onside.

For his longshot, Matt has found a 10/1 goals angle at Kenilworth Road. He's backing both teams to score in both halves of Luton vs Leyton Orient at 10/1 with Sky Bet, with the reasons behind the eye-catching selection discussed in full on the show.

Felix rounds things off at a shorter 3/1, backing West Brom to beat Watford and both teams to score with QuinnBet. It's another combination bet and completes the lads' six selections for Saturday.
