World of Wagers: Global football betting tips for Saturday, November 8th 2025

Odds Now’s resident football data expert, Felix Morson-Pate, returns with the latest edition of his World of Wagers column.

This week, Spain’s top tier is his League In Focus, while there’s the usual offering of weekend wagers from around the globe.

League in Focus: Spanish La Liga

The title race in La Liga feels a hard one to call this season.

Real Madrid hold a five-point advantage, but Barcelona feel the better side on paper after cantering home last year. As ever, Atletico Madrid look to be the best of the rest behind them, but we’ll need to dive a little deeper if we’re to find teams to get with and fade in Spain’s top division.

A regular name in European competition over the last decade, I fancy Real Sociedad to climb up the table sooner rather than later. They currently sit in a lowly 14th position, with 12 points from 11 matches.

However, both the underlying expected goals data and my own ratings (which use market opening and closing lines to gauge team strength) would have them a few spots higher – 10th and 6th, respectively.

If the likes of Mikel Oyarzabal and Ander Barrenetxea can stay healthy and in form, then this should be a side that once again challenges for the top 4-5 places come season end.

Moving in the opposite direction for me are likely to be Getafe, a side that have thrived on being on the right side of low-margin games for years – but even so, are likely due some regression to the mean.

In particular, their attack seems slightly unsustainable, with them scoring about four goals more than you could've reasonably expected from the chances they’ve had.

I make them a solid midtable outfit per my numbers, but seventh is a spot I think they’ve a far greater chance of dropping from than improving on

Felix’s best global football bets for Saturday, November 8th 2025

Rizespor +0.25 AH vs Gaziantep - 39/40

Thanks to my day job, the Turkish Super Lig has become one I’ve come to know particularly well over the last 18 months, and outside of the top handful of teams, there can be little to separate many of the other sides a lot of the time.

With this bet, we’d win half of our stake and get the other half back as a push with a draw, and a full cash with a win. Given the players both sides have on paper, there’s an argument that the away side have the stronger team.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, in particular, is someone who seems to be loving life at Rizespor, and someone who, for me, should be playing well above this level. He’s one of a number of potent attackers that leads me to think this is a rock-solid bet

Under 2.5 Asian Goals (Santa Clara vs Sporting CP) - 4/5

Unsurprisingly, Sporting are very short favourites for this game, and I agree with the market there. However, as mentioned in a previous World of Wagers, I think Santa Clara are due a slight uptick in form, and should certainly make this game competitive, if not pull off the upset.

A 0-2 seems a very strong runner here, and this bet would cover that nicely.

BTTS Huesca vs Andorra - 5/6

On the raw table alone, this might seem like a strange bet at the price.

However, dig a little deeper and you find these are actually two sides that are about equal in strength, with middling numbers at both ends of the pitch that seem perfect for a competitive game where both should fancy their chances.

I wouldn’t like to call a result here, so backing both to at least get on the scoresheet feels the most sensible decision.

All prices correct as of 9 am on Thursday, November 6th, with Bet365.
