RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is now as short as 1/4 to join Manchester United this summer following a wave of bets on the Slovenian's next club.
Bookmakers moved quickly on Tuesday morning to suspend betting after reports emerged of United tabling an initial £65million bid for the in-demand centre forward, who is also courted by Newcastle.
And when markets re-opened, there was no bigger than 2/5 available (via Unibet and BetMGM) on Sesko's next destination to be Old Trafford.
Bet365 are taking no chances, pricing the swoop at 1/3 to be completed, while Sky Bet and Paddy Power are even shorter at 1/4 – deeming an 80% chance of a deal being done.
During his time in Germany, Sesko has netted 39 goals in 87 appearances and standing at a towering 6ft5in, he would certainly add an aerial threat to what is currently a light-looking front line.
The Red Devils have been busy in the transfer market this summer, already striking deals to sign Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo from Premier League rivals Wolves and Brentford respectively.
A move for Sesko would complete a full revamp of their attack and rumours suggest Rasmus Hojlund could be allowed to leave the club should their capture of the 22-year-old Bundesliga star be completed.
United are looking to bounce back from the worst season in their modern history, having finished 15th in last season's Premier League with a miserly 42-point haul.
Almost every bookmaker has them priced at 4/1 for a top-four finish, while a top-six spot is seen as much more attainable at a best-priced 5/4 (available with Sporting Index and Betfair Exchange).
