In a new addition to Odds Now's horse racing content, Lee Butterworth (@ButtysBets on X) will be popping in each weekday to offer his daily betting selections from the National Hunt sphere.
Lee will be offering up anything that takes his eye at around 9AM each morning, with all stakes tracked for P/L purposes.
It was a profitable first week of tipping for Lee – now let's see if he can take the momentum into week two...
Mutual Respect makes his seasonal reappearence here fresh off the back of wind surgery.
He's also back down to his last winning mark, with that victory coming over course and distance almost exactly one year ago. Admittedly, that win needs an asterisk against it, given the favourite fell at the second last fence when in the lead.
The faller did hamper this fella, however – but he recovered well to make smooth headway, get upsides the new leader Dramatic Jury when jumping the final fence and battle away to score a two-length success.
He's been in and out in four subsequent runs. He did place a couple of times, but also ran two below-par races. Hence why that mark has slid back down to 93.
There looks to be a little bit of rain around in Bangor today and that would certainly aid his cause. He's the only course and distance winner in this line up, so if he's fit enough to do himself justice, I'd suggest he's got decent claims off this mark and weight.
Gavin Sheehan is a very capable pair of hands and has proven a positive jockey booking for the Billy Aprahamian stable, boasting a 25% win rate over the last 5 seasons.
I did also fancy Joining Force in the next race but seen as he's now a non-runner, we'll save that write-up for another day if the price is right!
