After banging in two winners from two picks on Wednesday, let's see what Lee fancies today...
Defi Nonantais makes his chase debut here with first-time blinkers put on. He's still a maiden under rules but does boast hurdling form, which would suggest he's got a bit up his sleeve off this type of mark. His fourth-placed effort behind Idy Wood looks reasonable form for this level, given the first three home in that race are now rated 127, 111 and 121. This lad is only running off 90 here, let's not forget.
His 10-length third behind Masaccio at Kempton has also aged well, form-wise. The winner is now a 146-rated chaser and actually won off that mark last time out. Meanwhile, his penultimate run at Fontwell has worked out okay, too.
He finished five lengths behind the winner, Golden Ambition, back in second place that day. The winner went up 7lbs for that win, but still won his next outing by a comfortable four lengths.
The selection now switches his attention to the larger obstacles today. He finished a solid third in his sole point-to-point run behind Springt De La Mare and Bleu De Vassy. Though beaten 12 lengths by the winner, admittedly, that pair are both 130+ rated chasers under the rules nowadays.
If he runs anywhere near that form here, he's got plenty in hand off this type of mark and is worth backing at a nice price.
