Aggagio drops down to Class 5 company here, creeping into this 0-105 event off top weight with an 8lbs claiming jockey booked to ride to ease the welter burden.
He's actually unbeaten in this grade, having won both his runs in this type of company back in 2022. He's been operating in much better races than this one since then, running up to a mark of 117 over hurdles with a mark of 110 being his highest win mark.
His sole run at this track was a successful one, over the same distance and a lofty mark of 108 (jockey claimed 3lbs that day). He found plenty for pressure to fend off Blended Stealth by 1L.
He's running off 105 today, with the jockey taking off 8lbs on top. This race is much easier than the races he usually contests and for me, he's not being sent all this way for no reason at all. He's here to win.
